I've never paid more than $100 for a vacuum cleaner and finally decided to buy the Dyson (from great reviews and by word of mouth) - discovered, as many Amazon reviewers have, that you DO get what you pay for. This cleaner is easy to use - easy to maneuver and easy to care for...it's flat enough to go under most furniture and short enough to go under chairs, around the toilet, etc. - cut at least 15 minutes off overall housecleaning time just because it moves so effortlessly.
