Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner Best Quality

We were very happy to find this on Amazon for almost $100 cheaper than it is most other places. We're glad because the extra $100 may not have been worth it.

This vacuum does have very good suction, particularly noticeable when using the hose, which is both a good thing and a bad. The suction helps to pick up a lot of things in hard to reach places, but it also has the effect of pulling the hose back. This results in limited hose extension unless the vacuum is blocked by something, since pulling the hose farther than 5 feet will cause the vacuum to either tip over or slide across the floor. This doesn't matter for stairs, since the force is mainly up and the vacuum is held by the bottom step.

The clear bin is nice, but slightly flimsy. It got a long crack in it after one day of use, but that doesn't seem to affect performance.

The advertisement that it doesn't lose suction is true, but bagged vacuums wouldn't lose suction either if you only filled the bag with the relatively small amount of dust the bin on the DC25 holds. The small bin, though, has more to do with the relatively compact size of the DC25 than poor design.

The cyclone assembly has the habit of holding a lot of fine dust inside of it, which is probably an essential part of the vacuum's design. It builds up quite quickly; upon blowing it out after a week of use, I was promptly covered in dust from head to toe. Apparently, though, it does a good job of keeping a large part of the dust from getting to the first filter.

The ball does help maneuverability, although it takes a little bit of practice to get used to.

Overall, this appears to be a very good vacuum, but I would not recommend it for heavy duty use.Get more detail about Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner.
