This vacuum lives up to it's reviews - lighweight (great if you have back problems), great on hard floors as well as carpet, and has excellent suction. I also appreciated being able to vacuum area rugs (i.e. bath mats) without the whole rug being sucked up if you keep it on the "hard floor" setting.
The only reason I didn't rate this vaccum 5 stars is due to the hose being difficult to place back on the vaccum after use. I've only had the vacuum for a month and do not use the hose every time I vacuum so I think with practice it will become easier.
Also, I would have bought the other model that has the longer cord as this one is too short.
