I have two dogs - one with very long hair, so I have a lot of hair and dirt in my carpets. I received my Dyson DC25 a couple of weeks ago and I've used it several times. I wish I'd had this vacuum instead of my last two Eurekas! Both had great suction but the last one I had was absolutely filty to clean the filter. You had to scrape it off with a toothbrush and wack it on a solid surface to get all the dirt and hair out. Not now. The Dyson sucks up everything and all you do is push the magic button to release the dirt cannister. I'm in love. Whichever reviewer said that it didn't fluff the carpet must have had much stiffer carpet than mine. I find that it does a great fluffing job. The cord length is perfectly adequate for my small house, and I don't really mind that it doesn't have a wind-up feature. Using the attachments is a snap - literally. They snap off the unit and onto the wand/hose. And they stay attached until you push another magic button to release them. All in all, in spite of the price, I'm very happy that I bought the Dyson.
