As one other reviewer said. You get what you pay for and with this Dyson we sure did. It was a bit unimpressive out of the box because it was so light I could not believe it would actually live up to the hype, BUT we have 3 dogs and none of the other vacuum cleaners we had tried really worked well. It is GREAT, it has excellent suction and the brushes work on the carpets and you have a handy button that allows you to turn the brushes off in area where you have hard floors and stuff like dog hair could be scattered if the brushes are on. I only give it 4 stars because of the less than handy method you have to use to get the hose out and use the attachments. Since its something we hardly ever do I bought another one of these for upstairs so I obviously like it :) They are not cheap but from all appearances they will last a long time and if it lasts 2 times as long as one that costs half as much (and worked half as well) its a great deal. One last thing, the ball is the best idea anyone ever came up with , you can manuver around and under most everything easily.Get more detail about Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner.

I have two dogs - one with very long hair, so I have a lot of hair and dirt in my carpets. I received my Dyson DC25 a couple of weeks ago and I've used it several times. I wish I'd had this vacuum instead of my last two Eurekas! Both had great suction but the last one I had was absolutely filty to clean the filter. You had to scrape it off with a toothbrush and wack it on a solid surface to get all the dirt and hair out. Not now. The Dyson sucks up everything and all you do is push the magic button to release the dirt cannister. I'm in love. Whichever reviewer said that it didn't fluff the carpet must have had much stiffer carpet than mine. I find that it does a great fluffing job. The cord length is perfectly adequate for my small house, and I don't really mind that it doesn't have a wind-up feature. Using the attachments is a snap - literally. They snap off the unit and onto the wand/hose. And they stay attached until you push another magic button to release them. All in all, in spite of the price, I'm very happy that I bought the Dyson. I'm planning on having it for a lot of years. Get more detail about Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner.

I moved to a larger, multi-floor place and needed a lighter, yet more powerful vacuum. With DC25, I can now vacuum more frequently than before thanks to its light weight and ease of use. Though it's light, the motor is as powerful as professional cleaners. There is no hassling plastic bag to take out and dump but a bottom that opens with one touch to drop dusts easily. One of the outstanding feature of this product is its ball-driven movement mechanism. The motor lies actually in the ball that replaces the traditional wheels. It was a little awkward the first time I was using it, but once I learned how to use it I am happy with the change. Differently from legacy vacuums, you can make various types of turns pretty easily by turning your wrist. Two additional sponge filters are very solid and durable compared with other products' sponge filters that break down easily when washing. The downsides that I can think about are: (1) too expensive, so you really need to make sure you need a light vacuum. (2) the cord is short. I mean short really to cover only a room or so. If you have a really large house (>3K sqft), I would recommend to go with ones with longer cords. Overall, awesome!Get more detail about Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner.

My wife bought this Dyson DC25 as a replacement for our bagless sweeper and got rid of our other sweeper. I wish I would have used it sooner as this piece of junk would have gone back pronto. I started using this sweeper (too late to return it) and have found it to be a useless overpriced plastic gadget. What a nightmare! There is nothing practical about this sweeper and if you want to get a sweeping job done in time it is worthless. First let me say the parts are cheap plastic snaps and catches which make removal of the attachments and placement almost impossible to do. The worst is the removable handle that becomes the wand. What a joke. Hard to get out and then don't try to reach with it because the hose is impractical at about 2 feet long. The sweeper constantly bangs into your feet while using the wand and there is no handle to hold the sweeper in place. While you are fighting this the cord gets caught around the bottom of the sweeper as the head design constantly catches the cord. I just used this thing today and I was one step short of throwing this overpriced useless gadget into the driveway and smashing it. Buy plenty of duct tape. You'll need it when the cheap clips start breaking. Good points? One is only that you can turn the brush off, but why? We have a parrot and there is a lot of dirt thrown to the floor. I have to sweep with a broom first as this sweeper will not pick up anything larger that a sunflower seed shell. Suction is good sure, but it will not pick up feathers or plant leaves without getting clogged. Save your money unless you have a small apartment maybe.Get more detail about Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner.
Buying Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner
$500 for a vacuum? It seems crazy, but I can confidently say that purchasing a Dyson is WELL WORTH IT. I had been using a Bissell Healthy Home for awhile, which is certainly a good vacuum, but also a vacuum that defines cumbersome and heavy. In contrast, the DC25, at 16 pounds, is the lightest and most suction-y vacuum I've ever had. The handling is superb. The ball allows you to get easily in and around the house, and the light weight makes the actual vacuuming a breeze! It was so light, in fact, I was questioning its effectiveness. We had recently had our carpets steam-cleaned, and as a result, it was pulling up some dirt, but not a ton. That went away when I ran it over a bathroom rug. It pulled up a lot of the strands. It's unfortunate it was ruined, but the vacuum sure does work!
It comes with two attachments, one for getting in corners and another for stairs. The stair attachment is pretty small, and you're better off just using the vacuum itself. It has a handle at the top which makes holding it while vacuuming really easy.
Overall, this actually makes vacuuming FUN! Even my husband was fascinated with the product - it's very modern-looking, with a very unique design. We are so happy with our purchase!Get more detail about Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner.

I love that it actually makes my carpet stand up taller! And I was very surprised while sweeping cobwebs that it actually sucked up a fly from a distance of a couple inches... I suspect the fly was just as surprised as I was. Included attachments get corners/trim very well.
My only "complaint" is that emptying the canister can sometimes release a lot of dust into the immediate area.
My only suggestion for improvement would be to include something that sweeps stairs easier. The included attachments are ok, but not as good as it could be.Get more detail about Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner.
Cheapest Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner
When we purchased our first Dyson about 4 1/2 years ago, we absolutely LOVED it. We couldn't find anything to complain about.....except that it was heavy and a little cumbersome. I recently noticed that we seemed to be losing suction, but blamed it on our new thick carpeting.
So we decided to try the DC25 ball vacuum. Immediately I discovered why our older Dyson was losing power. This new vacuum has a washable HEPA filter, in addition to the regular washable filter (which seems to be new and greatly improved). The suction on this new model is fantastic. It is lifting the fibers on our thick carpeting and I am picking up much more than I did with my older Dyson model. The carpet is a year old, and I am now picking up the new fibers that should have been vacuumed up long ago. It is easy to maneuver and cleans closer to the edges. I'm not needing to move as much furniture for regular vacuuming because I'm getting in and out of smaller spaces.
However, with the smaller, lighter weight, and easier to maneuver size, comes some real negatives. The dirt bin needs to be emptied after vacuuming one or two rooms. And, though I didn't think I would be bothered by the shorter cord, it is an inconvenience to have to move the plug from room to room. I was used to being able to vacuum more than 1/3 of my house without moving the cord. Of course, the longer cord did tend to get more tangled.
I can't quite decide if I am going to keep this vacuum because I haven't decided if the pros outweigh the cons. I'm also disappointed with Dyson and their claim all of these years about the lifetime HEPA filter. Now, they have realized it's not a lifetime filter, and have switched to a washable lifetime filter. I don't know if I trust the fact that this new vacuum is going to last longer than 4 1/2 years. And, I feel a bit ripped off considering what I spent for my first Dyson, under false advertising premises.
All in all, even with the cons, the Dyson vacuums I have owned have still been better than any of the other many vacuums I have owned in the past thirty years.
